KOTA KINABALU (October 25): Longest, non-stop Facebook live broadcast talent performance program hosted by the Sabah Tamparuli Bamboo Music Orchestra Association (Ombak) and the Sabah Youth Council is expected to enter the Malaysian Book of Records.
The program will run for 24 hours from November 4 to 5.
The wife of the chief minister, Datin Seri Panglima Hajah Juliah Salag, received a courtesy visit from the Supreme Council of Ombak, headed by his deputy, on Monday.
The purpose of the courtesy call was to inform Juliah about the longest-running, non-stop Facebook live-streaming talent performance program to go into Malaysia’s record books.
The association has also invited Juliah as guest of honor to the event, which will take place live on Facebook.
Juliah congratulated Ombak on his initiative to organize the program which would be recognized by the Malaysia Book of Records.
“The program will showcase or promote our cultures in Sabah to the world.”
Meanwhile, Stanley said the program included bamboo musical performances, storytelling and cooking.
“The longest-running, non-stop Facebook live-streaming talent performance program will begin at 2 p.m. on November 4,” he said.
Also present were members of the Supreme Council of Ombak, Wendy Guntarik, Lotipa Kilus, Nazir Daniel and Anita Adus.
