Channel Nine’s new cooking show Snackmasters debuted Monday night.

Hosted by MasterChef star Poh Ling Yeow, the series sees Australia’s top chefs attempt to replicate some of the country’s most iconic snacks.

But viewers watching at home were disappointed with what they saw, with many likening it to a lengthy commercial for the Hungry Jacks burger chain.

Another added: “What the hell is this trashy, scripted, product placement shit?”
