Final Fantasy 14 director Naoki Yoshida streams himself live drinking wine, baking cookies, and playing his MMORPG on Twitch.

The director of Final Fantasy XIV, Naoki Yoshida, has joined Tic with a brand new cooking show, which features him baking cookies, drinking wine and playing his MMORPG online. This stream was a whole new look at the personal life and home of the game director, as well as his personal taste for wine.

Under the editor Square Enix, Final Fantasy 14 is directed and produced by Yoshida himself, and he’s widely regarded as the game’s savior after a disastrous initial launch. He previously worked on several Dragon Quest titles and keep working on Final Fantasy 14 eight years after the release of the MMORPG, including all of the major expansions and updates over the years. Now, Yoshida has been chosen by Square Enix to run the next Final fantasy Title, Final Fantasy XVI, on which he is currently working as a producer alongside director Hiroshi Takai.

The FF14 The director recently used the Twitch channel NGC_the_Twitch to live stream online, welcoming an audience to his home and oven. During the stream, the Japanese director spent over an hour baking cookies from scratch in a theme Final Fantasy 14 black mage apron and drinking a 2018 Napa Valley red wine. He spent over seven hours live streaming in total, playing FF14 Unreal Titan challenge and answering fan questions from the chat. Yoshida cookie recipe made while steaming was translated by a Twitter user Aitaikimochi, who uploaded the English recipe. During the stream, Yoshida commented that her wine choice, the 2018 Napa Valley red wine, goes very well with these cookies. Now that the recipe is available, fans will be able to figure it out for themselves.

Yoshida was joined by some of her Free Compay friends in the stream, playing the Unreal Titan track together a few times. While together as a team, they struggled to beat the track, which recounts the classic encounter between the Warrior of Light and the Titan, they ultimately prevailed and were granted access to the False Hollows. Yoshida has shown his playing skills in the game he has directed and produced, but has also struggled against many of the same elements that players have in Final Fantasy 14 often have difficulty with.

While fans were able to learn more about Yoshida’s family life and playstyle, there is no news on the current development of Yoshida. Final Fantasy 16 was revealed during its long stream. Fans of the series will just have to wait and see if Yoshida will be streaming again and if he’s ready to discuss game development. In the meantime, a beta for Final Fantasy 14 on PS5 arrives in April.
