How to watch and when does ‘Magnolia Table’ air


Mark your calendars, Joanna Gaines fans! The beloved home and lifestyle personality returns to the small screen after Upper Fixator ended almost two years ago and gave fans an official preview of what will happen to Magnolia Network in 2021 with two brand new specials airing simultaneously ahead of their new series, Magnolia Table With Joanna Gaines, premiering January 4 on discovery +. In an hour-long special called The making of the Magnolia table Airing Sunday, Jan. 3 at 7 p.m. ET on Food Network, HGTV, Cooking Channel and DIY, fans get to see how Gaines and her husband Chip transformed a historic flour mill into the charming site of his new cooking show. .

Immediately following the behind-the-scenes preview, Food Network and Cooking Channel will premiere the first two episodes of Magnolia painting, giving fans the option to cook with Gaines. In the first episode, “A Family Tradition,” the 42-year-old will share a family favorite of Grandpa Stevens – a classic Lebanese dish, the Fatayer, served with a Lebanese salad, hummus and baklava for dessert. In the second episode, “A Friendsgiving Feast,” Gaines shares an evergreen classic – a rich and decadent Friendsgiving casserole, cranberry sauce, almond green beans, and a cherry-almond crisp for dessert.

In a teaser for the network shared by Gaines via her social media pages, including Instagram, the Texas native teases, “I think if your kitchen isn’t messy you’re not having fun,” among a montage of clips, featuring her cooking alongside one of her daughters and even revealing how there could be an entire episode devoted to the joy of light, chewy and buttery cookies.

In a network press release, Gaines highlights the “impact” that food has not only on our lives, but on family friendliness. “It strengthens our traditions and preserves our fondest memories and our sense of home and family,” she said. “In one bite, food can bring you back to a specific time. The first season of my cooking show is filled with proven family dishes that do just that. Recipes that remind me of my childhood or my heritage, or lazy Saturday mornings at home with my family. “

She goes on to explain that the cooking show is a “celebration” of her family, the Texan community, and the traditions around the table. “I hope you enjoy Magnolia Table as much as I enjoyed filming it,” she continued. “It’s an honor to be able to share some of my favorite recipes with you! “

The snapshots broadcast across all networks are the grand introduction to discovery + ‘s first exclusive content preview of the Magnolia Network, the upcoming multiplatform joint venture with Gaines and her husband Chip. Some of the previews fans will be lucky enough to see include the latest reinvention of the couple’s beloved HGTV series, Upper Fixator: Welcome Home; the first season of Magnolia painting With Joanna Gaines; Road to launch, featuring conversations with the Gaines and various talent from their network’s lineup; and the documentary, Courage to Run, featuring Chip’s first marathon and the first episodes of at least 10 other Magnolia Network original series. The previews will be exclusive to discovery + until the launch of the Gaineses network later in 2021.
