Iroquois County Fair talent show contestants head to Springfield | Local News


Young people from Iroquois County will visit the Crowne Plaza in Springfield on Jan. 15 as the Illinois Agricultural Fair Association holds its annual convention and statewide talent show.

Mash UP Hip Hop Dance Group, Elite Energy, will represent Iroquois County as the winners of the Iroquois County Fair Junior Division. The team will consist of Lily Anderson, Beaverville; London Clark, Milford; Annika Greene, Vanysah Hickman, Addie Kingdon, Sarah Parsons, all of Watseka; Madelyn Loy, Donovan; and Savannah Reed, Danforth.

Senior Division winner Mitchell Galyen of Watseka will entertain the crowd with his rendition of “Bumble Boogie”.

The First Impressions Dance Team, consisting of Libby Hamilton, Dahlia Johnson, Amelia Marcier, Kate Sobal, Avery Schroeder, Landon Starkey and Harley Valentine, will also participate as winners of the Ford County Fair Junior Division.

The winners of Ford County Fair’s senior division are dance group Voodoo Essence, consisting of Hope Aaron, Lilian Eheart, Hannah Eheart, Briana Warren and Sadee Wuethrich.

The Fairbury Fair junior division winner was Savannah Reed and she will perform a dance solo to “Everything I Wanted”.

All dancers are students of Studio on Main (Pam Hibbert) and Mitchell is a student of Pat Neal.

The Junior Talent Show division begins at 1:30 p.m. followed by 6:00 p.m. Senior division.
