Nestlé Nigeria’s Maggi cooking show is all the rage in southwestern Nigeria. “O Ta Lenu”, the third in Maggi’s cooking show series, retains the same Master Chef style that MAGGI introduced as “Muna Kwarya” in northern Nigeria and “O setigo” in the south from Nigeria last year. According to Nestle Nigeria in a statement, O Ta Lenu aims to encourage young Nigerians to explore exciting ways to cook and savor the best of the regional dishes they love.
“As well as providing mouth-watering excitement as contestants display their culinary skills for 6 weeks, there is a grand prize of one million (N1m) up for grabs by the top culinary hand in the competition. There will also be plenty of other mouth-watering MAGGI awards for fellow contestants.” Now in the 4th week, the cooking show brings together 12 contestants from Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo and Kwara states who take part in the 11 episodes taking place over six weeks. O Ta Lenu, which airs on select TV channels and MAGGI’s YouTube channel, is hosted by famous Nigerian star, Oluwabukunmi Oyebisi Adeaga-Ilori aka KieKie.
“MAGGI is happy to also have Tobi Fletcher aka Ofada boy, Nollywood star, Lateef Adedimeji and actress, model and TV host Kehinde Bankole as judges for the show. The competition consists of an elimination phase where two contestants are kicked out each week and a final stage where the top three contestants will compete in the kitchen for the grand prize.
“You don’t want to miss the action!” O Ta Lenu shines a light on the rich culinary dexterity of the people of southwestern Nigeria and provides consumers with tips for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Over the years, Maggi has provided platforms to showcase Nigeria’s rich food culture and the sumptuous food it offers. Be a part of this culinary experience by tuning into Trace TV, Orisun, MiTV, Galaxy TV and NTA Akure on Saturdays and Sundays to watch exciting episodes of the show.
