If you’re a fan of celebrity reality competitions, CBS’ new series won’t disappoint. beyond the edge will feature nine celebrities from diverse backgrounds (actors, singers, athletes, etc.) who will leave the comfort of their homes to live in the Panamanian jungle for two weeks. Popular UFC commentator Mauro Ranallo will assume hosting duties.
The trailer shows tears of frustration from the actors as they learn to adjust to their new living conditions. One of the clips shows the wooden cabins they sleep in, with a contestant saying, “You mean real? Check this for two weeks”
Cast member and model Paulina Porizkova added, “I was literally lying in water for seven hours.”
Throughout the season, the cast will compete in two teams in hopes of securing prizes for their respective charities. (There will be no eliminations.)
At the end of the competition, the top two contestants will face off in a final challenge. Every day they will each get closer to closing three-quarters of a million dollars. But if a celebrity can’t stand the heat, they’ll ring a bell, signaling the end of their time in the jungle.
beyond the edge will premiere March 16 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
