Actress of yesteryear, wife of late legendary actor Rishi Kapoor and mother of reigning star Ranbir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor (formerly known as Neetu Singh) is ready for her television debut.
The actress was asked to judge a dance reality show on Colors TV called “Dance Deewane Juniors”.
Colors previously launched a show called “Dance Deewane”. The show was a huge hit and so the creators decided to bring the version for kids. ‘Dance Deewane Junior’ will feature children between the ages of 4 and 14 showcasing their dance skills fueled by mad passion (deewangi) and they could take part in the show as solo, duo or group participants.
As the young dancers prepare for the new show, Colors has decided that Neetu Kapoor will join the jury. This will mark Neetu’s first stint on television. She has, in the past, appeared on television in reality shows, but only as a guest. This is her first outing as a series regular.
She will join the panel along with choreographer Marzi Pestonjee and Bollywood dance sensation Nora Fatehi.
The air date for the show has yet to be announced, but auditions are currently underway and the show is expected to air on Colors TV soon.
Neetu Kapoor retired from acting after marrying actor Rishi Kapoor. She returned to the big screen in 2009 with an appearance in Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone’s star “Love Aaj Kal”. After that, she made two movies with her husband Rishi Kapoor – “Do Dooni Chaar” and “Besharam”, which also starred her son, Ranbir Kapoor.
Neetu Kapoor has been known to keep to herself, so this will be a new experience for the otherwise private and reluctant actress.
