REMINDER: The submission deadline for the teen talent show “Log Cabin’s Got Talent” is this Saturday


MARCH UPDATE. 16, 2022: The date of the talent contest has been corrected to March 25, 2022.

King County Parks’ 5th Annual “Log Cabin’s Got Talent” Teen Talent Show will take place on Friday, March 25, 2022 from 5-6:30 p.m., and the submission deadline is this Saturday, March 19.

The White Center Teen Program (aka the “Log Cabin”) is gearing up for the 5and The annual “Log Cabin’s Got Talent” show will premiere on Zoom on Friday March 25. from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Visual artists and performers aged 12-19 are encouraged to submit original artwork and video by 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 19. Please contact Jonathan at [email protected] or 206-482-1138 for details on how to submit.

Bonus: art supplies and talent coaches currently available every Tuesday. – Sat. from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the WCTP.

Categories for the 2022 LCGT Visual Contest include Drawing/Painting, Photography, and Digital Design.

All submissions can be viewed on the WCTP Facebook page and the YouTtube channel and the best artworks and performances will be featured in the LCGT Zoom program on Friday, March 25.

In addition to Log Cabin’s Got Talent on March 25, family-friendly craft projects and art supplies will be available Saturday, March 19 at the following four King County Park locations:

    • 1 p.m.: Steve Cox Memorial Park (1321 SW 102n/a St 98146)
    • 2 p.m.: Thurnau Memorial Park (11050 10and Avenue SW 98146)
    • 3 p.m.: North Shorewood Park (SW 102n/a St & 24and Avenue SW 98146)
    • 4 p.m.: White Center Heights Park (SW 102n/a St&7and Avenue SW 98146)

“Log Cabin’s Got Talent” is once again sponsored by the teens and staff of the White Center Teen Program. The WCTP offers free recreational, educational and social enrichment programs for youth ages 12-19 Tuesday through Saturday from 3-8 p.m.

WCTP currently offers distance learning programs as well as one-on-one in-person assistance with homework help and job readiness; outdoor programs like tennis, bike club, lacrosse and garden club; and the Summer Recreation Support Employment Program.
