ALEXANDRIA — Video auditions are now being accepted for the second annual Lake District Talent Show taking place at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 14 at the Alexandria Area High School Performing Arts Center.
Anyone can audition for the show with any talent as long as it’s family.
Auditions for the show can be submitted on the Community Education website for a $10 submission fee. Submissions began on February 1 and are accepted until March 7.
Once the auditions are complete, judges Chuck Grussing, Dave Holtz and Paulette Friday will determine the top 10 artists who will perform at the talent show, which will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 14.
The selected artists will perform in front of a live audience. There is an admission fee of $15 for adults and $8 for students. Tickets can be purchased on the Community Education Performing Arts website.
“We’re hoping things will be a little more open this year, which will allow us to have more people in person,” said Mark Halvorson, director of performing arts.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three acts. First place: $300, second place: $200 and third place: $100.
Elden’s Fresh Foods is sponsoring the show to be held at Alexandria High School’s Performing Arts Center. More information can be found at www.alexschools.org/pac or by calling 320-762-3310.
