Simon Cowell “working on new talent show” – and it could air on Netflix | Reality show

Simon Cowell is reportedly working on a new talent show – and it could air on Netflix.

The music mogul, who is behind both The X factor and England has an incredible talent, is reportedly developing a new project.

The Sun reports that the new talent show is slated to air away from ITV and may air on Netflix.

A source said to the newspaper: “Simon never rests on his laurels. He is constantly thinking creatively of new ideas and shows, innovating and evolving all the time. This is one of the secrets of its immense success over the years.

“He told friends he was fed up with competitors trying to beat the mark, so he decided he would do it himself.

“He has sworn that his next show will be bigger and better than BGT.”

More details on the project have yet to be announced.

For now, Simon is planning a big TV comeback for 2022 with BGT and X Factor currently out of the air.

Simon missed the live broadcasts of last year’s Britain’s Got Talent series after injuring his back in an electric bicycle crash.

He was originally scheduled to return to the panel alongside Amanda Holden, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon this year before filming was postponed due to the pandemic.

A statement released in February announced that Britain’s Got Talent’s next series would not air until next year.

ITV and the Simon’s Syco company said: “BGT is known for its diversity of talent with great dance groups, magnificent choirs and lavish orchestras within it, and it has become clear that not only is it not possible to film auditions with this type of act in a secure manner, but also that they are not able to rehearse and prepare adequately in a safe manner.

“Safety must come first and therefore the recording of the show cannot go as planned at this time.”

Meanwhile, it was recently reported that The X Factor could make a return in 2022 as well.

The show has not aired since 2019 after Simon decided to suspend the format.

He said at the time: “We have to come back with a relevant, different show, a show that takes into account all the different things that children watch and are influenced by.”
