We have seen a lot of dance reality shows over the years and each of them has managed to make an impact on everyone. From ‘Dancing with the Stars’ to ‘So You Think You Can Dance’, these dance competitions have something unique about them. However, CBS ousted them by releasing a dance show that managed to capture everyone’s imagination. Titled “Come Dance with Me,” the show just had its network premiere and saw 12 talented young dancers show off their movies with their untrained parents.
Yes, you heard right. These children were dancing with their parents and setting the stage on fire. From the start of the show, the teams went all out to show the world how amazing they are. For the children, it was about showing their talent while their parents accompanied them so that they could support them. The first episode was filled with great dance performances from the teams and saw Jenna Dewan, Tricia Miranda and Dexter Mayfield don the judges’ hats.

Kennedy and Justin’s team received the best score of the night (25) and were saved from elimination. Meanwhile, Ava-John and Lucas-Carolina had the lowest scores. Even though the show still has a long way to go, the premiere gave us an idea of how amazing it is to see kids enjoying the thing they love most with their parents. Social media users loved the idea and applauded CBS for such a unique show.
One fan wrote, “Dear/To: @CBS, Come Dance With Me is just what CBS Friday Night needed. Good job.” Another social media user said, “Yo it’s cool to see these kids dancing with their parents #comedancewithme.” Meanwhile, another fan noted, “I’m enjoying the new show so far and so excited to see you and your awesome choreo!!”
“I don’t want to switch places with these parents and dance with my little princess. (Only thing is I’d do a little twerking, but I’d keep it PG for TV.) I love this show so much #ComeDanceWithMe” , said one of the fans.

“It’s such a complete moment. I love mother-daughter moments like this, especially seeing a black woman raising a young girl to realize opportunities that were once limited to her. This show is very good at portraying black parenting,” wrote another.

Maceo and Albert were eliminated from the series due to an unfortunate accident. Maceo’s father, Albert, was injured while training for the first episode and was kicked out of the competition. As a result, their team was also excluded.
Next week, the teams will step out of their comfort zone and play Jazz when the show returns to CBS.
