The Chartered Institute of Educational Practitioners UK (CIEPUK) said in Abuja on Saturday that as many as 10,000 talented young people would be discovered during its grassroots talent hunt in Abuja.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the show is to be held in July in Abuja.
CIEPUK President Prof. Marcel Ezenwoye told reporters at a press conference in Abuja that the CIEPUK Talent Hunt was a project designed to empower gifted and talented young Africans in various entertainment sectors.
Ezenwoye explained that the show is mostly about discovering hidden talents that have yet to be nurtured and giving hope to the helpless.
He said the show is therefore a platform and a support system for these young people to realize their dreams and achieve their goals.
“CIEPUK Talent Hunt Season 1 aims to transform lives around the world. We discover these wonderful talents and highlight them for the world to see.
“No less than 10,000 talented people are expected to be discovered and the winners who come out will be awarded prizes and awards.
“These talents will be grouped into six different categories, covering various acts including singing, dancing, rapping, acting, comedy and other discoverable talents,” he said.
He revealed there were plenty of juicy prizes up for grabs at the end of the show with the big winner smiling home with a mouth-watering £1million including an album record deal and a label to work with.
He said the prizes for first and second place were ₦700,000 and ₦300,000, also with an album record deal.
He pointed out that there would be other consolation prizes up for grabs in the different categories, adding that all contestants would be under the mentorship and tutelage of seasoned Nollywood actors and directors.
“Additionally, contestants have the chance to premiere their album at our prestigious recording studio in Egypt.
“There will also be an automatic allocation of CIEPUK Professional Certificate Membership for all applicants.
“All interested persons are invited to click on the link below and register as the portal is already open and will run until June 15, when auditions are expected to begin.”
“Encourage that kid you notice who has talent to sign up and participate. He or she may be on the way to stardom. (NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
