Indian Idol is one of the most loved singing reality shows and it is back with its 13th edition on TV which will air on Sony Entertainment. Previous season Indian Idol 12 was a big hit and everyone loved it. Meanwhile, audiences are eagerly awaiting the weekend of the show.

Now, the creators have released Indian Idol 13 promo and received major backlash from netizens.

Recently, Sony Entertainment Television dropped the Indian Idol 13 promo on its official Instagram handle. In the promo, a family can go through their daily routine and the mother is seen cooking. On the other hand, the father is working on a computer, while the children are playing. And suddenly Monali Thakur’s song “Moh Moh Ke Dhaage” is playing which catches everyone’s attention and they all sit together and enjoy the show with their family.

Along with the promo, they wrote, “Phir se saath aaane ka bahana hai ab Mausam Musicana hai! Indian Idol Season 13 is coming soon! #IndianIdol #IndianIdolIsBack #IndianIdol2022 #IndianIdolSeason13 #IndianIdolS13.

The promo ended up receiving negative reactions from Internet users. One of the users commented, “Nutankiyu ki dukan is back”, and another commented, “Scripted Reality Show is back”. One of the trolls wrote: “Audition khtm v nhi hua or pull phle he wah”, another commented: “Sab fake he ye log dikhawa karna nahi cohdte”.

In fact, Neha Kakkar, who was seen as a judge on the show, also posted the video encouraging contestants in the Delhi auditions.

The show received criticism, as many controversies had arisen for Indian Idol 12 after the show. During the show, the romantic angle was concocted between Pawandeep Rajan, who won last season, and Arunita Kanjilal, the contestant of the show. Another was about Sayli Kamble, she was described as coming from a poor family. But an old video of her went viral where she was seen singing with Marathi singer Suresh Wadkar, so netizens slammed the creators.

Even, Amit Kumar, the son of legendary singer Kishore Kumar was invited to Indian Idol Season 12 and he confessed that he was told to praise contestants.

Hope this season is going well.
