Viewers weren’t impressed with Simon Cowell’s latest singing competition, Walk The Line, which many called “boring.”
Former Take That star Gary Barlow, award-winning performer Alesha Dixon, comedy legend Dawn French and chart superstar Craig David are on the jury along with Maya Jama.
The show sees musical artists – whether soloists, duets or groups – take the stage to perform in front of the nation and the judges.
But to win the cash prize, talent alone is not enough.
Competitors will need nerves of steel to determine whether to cash in or physically walk the line and risk everything to stay in the competition.
The act that ends at the top of the leaderboard then moves on to the following evening’s show, where they will face off against a new team of artists.
The longer they can stay in the competition, the bigger the prize pool.
Speaking to Twitter, many shared their thoughts – and the comparisons to what was one of the UK’s biggest reality shows to come out, The X Factor, was one of the main points.
One called the show “appalling” as they criticized the judges for being “too scared to be honest”
âDawn French is too sweet, the singers can’t really sing, and the production ALWAYS tries the bloody story angle. This type of âtalentâ show first appeared over a decade ago. You just have to bury it already, âthey added.

#Walking the line ABSOLUTELY FRIENDLY PROGRAM! ‘JUDGES’ is too scary to be honest. Dawn French is too sweet, the singers can’t sing, and the production ALWAYS tries the bloody story angle.
